How long does pet food last, it really depends on the type of pet food and how you store it.

Understanding the shelf life of pet food is crucial to ensure your pet’s well-being. Dry kibble typically lasts between 6-18 months from the date of manufacture, with an expiration date indicated on the package. Once opened, it’s important to use it up within 3 to 4 weeks to prevent spoilage. When preparing your pet’s emergency kit, it’s best to avoid repackaging dry kibble and instead opt for smaller bags, rotating them based on expiration dates.
